In the second excerpt of his recent interview -- done exclusively for his web site, JohanPetro27.com -- Denver's Johan Petro discusses how he made his way from his native Guadeloupe to France to pursue a professional sports career.
Guadeloupe is officially an "overseas department" of France, and in his teenage years, Johan left home for INSEP, a prestigious sports academy in Paris. His classmates would include Ronny Turiaf of the Golden State Warriors and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.
