From London to Jersey, Johan was everywhere in the last full month of the regular season.

Johan asserted himself at either end of the floor as the Nets moved through February.

A recent Denver Post article about the Nuggets revealed a number of amusing details about the team for any new bandwagon fans -- including the best nicknames of Denver players.

Among them: none other than Johan.

First things first. If you're going to be hip, know your nicknames. Don't catch yourself saying, "I just adore Renaldo Balkman's dreadlocks."

Balkman is "Kool," with a "K," like the guy with The Gang.

Chauncey Billups, the local legend who went to George Washington High (but you knew that, right?), goes by "Smooth" or "Mr. Big Shot," and J.R. Smith, who, too, hits big shots, is "J.R. Swish," a la the sounds his big shots make. To his teammates, Johan Petro is "Frenchie," because he's from France and not because his guilty pleasure is "Grease." With Carmelo Anthony, don't use the "Car"; and Chris Andersen, as you now know, is "Birdman" or "Birdzilla," but not the "The Raging Rooster," because he concluded that particular nickname was silly.
